Royal Canadian Army Service Corps

  NEW ~ January 12, 2003.

A memorial to members of the Corps on a site occupied in preparation for the D-Day invasion.

This memorial lies near the town of Southsea in The New Forest in England.
The photos below are posted as a result of a recent entry to our guest books
by Robby McRobb [25 Pl - ATC] and as a reminder that the Corps is not forgotten.

My thanks to Robby, to Mr Jack Clarry and his staff and to MGen [ret'd] Reg Lewis.

The inscription reads:
"ON THIS SITE A CROSS WAS ERECTED TO THE GLORY OF GOD ON 14th APRIL 1944.
SERVICES WERE HELD HERE UNTIL D-DAY 6th JUNE 1944
BY THE MEN OF THE 3RD CANADIAN DIVISION R.C.A.S.C."
